Well this sums up my thoughts about Google Talk. But i see it in a different way, if google can give Jabber a kick up the arse to implement web-cams then this could be big. Jabber is already capable of connecting to the other IM services in one client (also one connection as although you still have to sign up for each network, then link it to your jabber server account, you only connect via the jabber server rather then MSN, AIM and Yahoo all at the same time). What we really need is interoperability, and if google let you use MSN, AIM and Yahoo accounts with Google talk (is possible) then it will be a big wake up call to the big 3

Aren’t boys the best? I have one adult son who was 24 in December and I raised him in Montgomery, Alabama, USA, which is prone to hurricanes and tornnados. The first Wednesday of the month at noon was the siren testing and in school he learned to go to the bathroom to take cover and was taught if youare at home to take your matress with you and get in the tub and cover with the matress. I grew up in Miami , Florida so I was use to all this and really never took it seriously. I figured if I was going to die, I wanted to be comfortable and not crammed in a bathtub. We had a real tornado warning one evening during bad weather and helped him into the bathtub with mattress, etc and then I went and got in the bed & listened to the radio. My poor child was scared for life because I did that. He was bothered for years because I didn’t take the tornade siren more seriously.

That's really neat that the anliams are not afraid of you anymore! The ones around here are, they are not really frequent visitors. They are the kind that just pass through on occasion. We do have some groundhogs that raise some babies in the field behind us every year. This year they have tunneled under our barn and so we see them in our yard. They are really cute! I saw one last year balancing his great big body on the top of a barb wire fence line eating leaves off a bush. That was amazing!
